- Thoughts
A series of thoughts from a time in life.
- Of Vision
This is a small piece I wrote for
dreamsofchange.net.
The site didn't take off, so I'm putting what I wrote here. It's a good reminder to
me every time I look at it.
- Cheaters are Losers
This is an IM exchange between me and someone who copied a paper off my
site. I present it here both for your entertainment and to warn people
against copying papers.
- Interview with Professor Irving Biederman
For one of my classes I had to interview a scientist. Though I did manage to
cover what the interview was really supposed to be over, my fascination with
the subject material led this interview to really have a lot more information
than it needed to have. I present it here for more to lead about this subject.
- Australia by Foot
In the summer of 2000 I spent six weeks in Australia working on a website
called RealGold. Once the games
started I had some time to wander around Sydney by myself. This was
originally an entry in my Australia weblog, but I felt it deserved to be here.
- Trip Thoughts
I wrote this in the summer of 2000 on the bus from
Bakersfield, CA, to Los Angeles after
spending a couple days in San Francisco. Obviously my college views have
changed since then, but this really reflects what I felt at that time.
- Homecoming Queen Speech
In 2000, while I was still in Australia, I was supposed to give
a speech for a friend of mine who had been nominated for Homecoming Queen.
This is the speech I would have given had technical difficulties not stymied
the best of plans.
- Utopia
A paragraph for English on what Utopia is and what it means to me.
- National Merit Essay
I wrote this for the National Merit competition. I guess it worked... I was
a finalist.
- Thoughts on School
The last of last year's school paper columns. This one is the most amusing
to me, if only because I managed to use duncical nonsense in print.
- NM Class Offerings
Not my best work, but this was another column for our school newspaper. It
ran along-side a serious article saying we should offer more classes.
- Student Council Speech
For some odd reason I decided to run for Student Council last year. All
people running for Student Council have to give a speech, so I did.
Actually... I gave two. The night before I wrote one speech for me,
and one for a friend. He didn't end up using it, so I setting them both
in front of me and mixing them on the fly. Here's roughly the result.
- Elian Gonzalez
I wrote this as a column for our school newspaper. And yes, they did print
it.
