The American Heritage Dictionary describes Utopia as an "ideally perfect place, especially in its social, political, and moral aspects." Everyone has their own view of what this Utopia would be. For me, Utopia would be a place of freedom, where people could pursue the path that they wanted, without having to worry about the path that would provide them with the most economic stability. It would be a place where laws aimed to "protect" the population would not instead be molded by large corporate interests to protect their profit margins and eliminate competition. In Utopia people would be rewarded based on their effort, rather than on their ability to manipulate the system. Will Utopia ever exist? No, our corrupt minds and hearts could never allow it, but that should never stop us from trying to get there.
